FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

Eyelash extensions are a form of cosmetic makeup application that is used to be enhance the curl, length, fullness and thickness of a natural lash. They are applied to each natural lash individually using two tweezers to isolate and place the lash. This is a service that requires you to lay down with your eyes closed & takes 90 minutes to be complete.

2. ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS BAD FOR YOUR NATURAL LASHES?

This is a common misconception! They are safe if applied correctly, placed properly and isolated. They will cause no damage to the natural lash. Your eyelash extensions are never supposed to hurt, poke or cause you irritation. If any of these things happen, contact your lash technician or book a lash removal by a professional. Remember, the health of your natural lashes come first

3. WHY ARE WASHING YOUR LASHES DAILY WITH LASH SHAMPOO IMPORTANT?

Over time, build up can happen with your eyelashes. The daily things we do such as wearing makeup, putting oil based products, all contribute to build up. This can cause retention issues and lead to fall out. Washing your lashes daily with lash shampoo gives a deep cleanse for your lashes and also keeps them looking fluffy!

5.  WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT CURLS/ DIAMATERS?

The main curls that are used when doing eyelashes extensions are: C,CC and D.

C Curl: A straight curl that is uplifted at the end.  Can either give a more natural or more striking look depending on the length and thickness.

CC+ curl: The same as C curl but a little more curlier. Gives the perfect in between of C & D curl.

D curl: Most popular curl, perfect for when you want spice and some drama on your eyes! They define and open up the eyes. This curl is a show stopper and the girls favorite!

 AFTERCARE

CARING FOR YOUR EYELASH EXTENSIONS

Taking proper care of your lashes is important! It’s a 50/50 partnership with you and your lash technician.

Your lash technician’s job is to make sure your lashes are properly isolated, proper placement and proper weight/length for the natural lash. Your job is to make sure you are following the aftercare and treating them right. This will create great retention and a perfect set.

Here are some aftercare tips to follow to maximize your lash experience.

  • Do not wet your lashes the first 24 -48 hours after your appointment.

  • Do not use eyeliner, mascara or any makeup products that might affect your lashes.

  • Wash your lashes daily. This helps them looking as fluffy as the first day you did them. (Clean lashes = No build up = Increased retention)
  • Avoid sleeping on your side or face. This leads to lash loss on that specific side. (Use silk pillow or an eye mask to prevent abnormal fall out)
  • Do not use eyelash curlers, perm or tints.
  • Use water based products such as removal and makeup.
  • Avoid hot showers and high heat.
  • Do not pick or pull on your lashes. (This is one the main reasons for sparse, thin, gapped lashes)
  • Get an infill every 2/3 weeks to keep your lashes full (We lose natural lashes everyday)
